Discover Shamanism with
the 3 Rivers Shamanic Group

The 3 Rivers Shamanic Group meets every second Sunday of the month to work shamanically on issues of interest to the group, and is run by Justine and Julia.  If you’re new to Shamanism we offer basic Shamanic skills so you can participate fully in the sessions, and if you’re an old hand then we welcome your experience. We work on core shamanic principles which we have found bring personal development, healing and support on an ongoing basis. We’re a fluid group and we’re happy for people to turn up as a one off, or to attend regularly.

Sessions start by eating lunch together so there’s a chance to chat to everyone before we begin working. During the afternoon we do two or three journeys based on the theme of that session (with an all important tea break at some point!). We talk about the journeys beforehand so everyone is clear what to do and there’s a chance to feedback about experiences afterwards.

It’s important you let us know beforehand if you’re coming so we can plan the sessions appropriately and let you know what you need to bring.

Biographies

Julia Elliott has been doing shamanic healing and counselling work for the last ten years. She is a member of the Core-Shamanic Practitioner Circle, the London Open Drumming Group and is a co-founder of the 3 Rivers Shamanic Group. Julia has worked and studied with shamanic teachers from around the world. She has studied advanced techniques with Jonathan Horowitz from the Scandinavian Center for Shamanic Studies, developed ritual work with Malidoma Some from Burkina Faso, and worked on conflict resolution and dealing with terminal illness with Myron Eshowsky from the USA. Most recently she has worked with Betsy Bergstrom on compassionate depossession and developing bereavement rites.

Justine de Mierre has been on her personal shamanic path for the last ten years (or a lifetime, depending on how you want to look at it!) She is a member of the London Open Drumming Group and is co-founder of the 3 Rivers Shamanic Group. She has studied with Simon Buxton of The Foundation for Shamanic Studies, with Lorraine Grayston and Dawn Russell of Celebrating Woman and with Rowan Purday of The Kokopelli Company. She is a professional storyteller and theatre maker, has an MA in Psychology, and has many years experience in leading workshops in both theatre and personal/professional development.
